Store Manager - Full Time
Manoa Location
Our ʻOhana
At Fighting Eel, we're more than a clothing brand—we're a Hawaiʻi-born lifestyle company built on creativity, connection, and community.
Since 2003, we've grown from a small dream into a thriving, woman-owned and operated business with five retail boutiques across Oʻahu. Every collection is thoughtfully designed by our in-house team, inspired by island living, and created to make people feel confident, comfortable, and beautiful.
We're not your typical small boutique, and we're certainly not a big-box retailer. We believe in building genuine relationships, creating memorable experiences, supporting our local community, and developing careers alongside our people.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a passionate, inspiring Store Manager to lead one of our Fighting Eel boutiques.
As Store Manager, you'll create an environment where both clients and team members feel welcomed, valued, and inspired. You'll drive business results while cultivating a culture rooted in aloha, exceptional service, accountability, and teamwork.
This role is ideal for someone who loves fashion, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoys coaching others, and understands that the best client relationships are built through authenticity—not sales pressure.
Manager’s Role
As Store Manager, you will:
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing retail team that delivers exceptional client experiences every day.
- Create a boutique culture where luxury service feels personal, genuine, and welcoming.
- Build lasting relationships with our clientele and become an ambassador for the Fighting Eel brand within the local community.
- Drive sales through thoughtful leadership, clienteling, merchandising, and daily business execution.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering growth, accountability, and confidence.
- Ensure the boutique is beautifully presented and reflects the elevated Fighting Eel experience.
- Oversee daily store operations, inventory management, scheduling, and operational excellence.
- Partner with leadership to achieve sales goals while continuously identifying opportunities to grow the business.
- Create an environment where every client leaves feeling seen, appreciated, and excited to return.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of retail management experience in women's apparel
- Strong leadership skills
- Passion for exceptional service and clienteling
- Able to lead and coach staff to build sustainable client relationships
- Effective interpersonal and organizational skills; especially when it comes to working directly with senior level directors
Perks:
Joining Fighting Eel means becoming part of a company that values its people as much as its products. For this role, we offer:
- Competitive compensation
- Performance-based bonus opportunities
- Generous employee merchandise discount
- Paid time off and benefits including 401K
- Full medical, dental and vision coverage
- Ongoing leadership development and growth opportunities
- A collaborative, creative, and supportive work environment
- The opportunity to work for a locally owned, woman-owned Hawaiʻi brand that genuinely invests in its community
Why Fighting Eel?
Our boutiques are more than retail stores—they're places where friendships are formed, milestones are celebrated, and people discover clothing that becomes part of their everyday lives.
We're proud to be a company built in Hawaiʻi, powered by women, and committed to serving our community with authenticity, creativity, and aloha. If you're looking for a career where your leadership can make a lasting impact on both your team and your clients, we'd love to meet you.
